Atiku Abubakar Mourns With Omoyele Sowore Over The Death Of His Brother
Sowore had explained that his brother was killed by bandits on Saturday, September 4 near Okada in Edo State by herdsmen/kidnappers while he was returned from Igbinedion University in Edo State.
Atiku described the death as a tragedy that could have been reverted if the insecurity issues in the nation were resolved.
He wrote: I just received news of the reported killing of Mr Olajide Sowore, a student of Igbinedion University and the immediate younger brother of human rights activist, @YeleSowore. His death, and indeed the killings and daily abductions of innocent citizens, saddens me.
Every death diminishes our humanity. My sincere condolences to the Sowore family and his friends. May his soul rest in peace.
@Kenny66342469: Every day sir u are sorry u are sorry u are not doing anything to stop , wage ,or even protest u keep saying my heart goes out to this my heart goes out to that see sir I no Understand oo
@SalimPariss: We had one of the biggest successful protest, “yet failed”. Instead of Nigerians to come together and see how they’ll oust the government that can’t provide the basic needs “security” you want to protest. The best protest is to get your PVC and return power to the people.
@samijay_8: Na everyday you’re either shocked or receive news from Dubai. Abeg getat
@GoTunde: If truly the killings saddens you, can you please organize a one day protest against the worsening situation in the country. Folded handsFrowning face
@SolomonNonso3: Or call-out Tinubu d jagaban of Lagos bcuz he assured security if buhari was voted in…
@arthur49026709: Nigeria has become a place where politicians say condolence prayers every day, and nobody has a solution to these incessant killings in the country all we do is say prayers for the dead both small and great. is bad
@SalimPariss: We always get that mighty solution once every 4 years, yet what do we do? We become blind and prefer to go for next level. I hope 023 we’ll collectively return power to the people
@Ibnbazo: Amen to our amiable president of condolence and birthday wishes
