During an interview on the United Showbiz aired on United TV with Abeiku Santana, Whitney stated that Brother Sammy will only be accepted as an entertainer and not a gospel musician because his norms do not conform to that of the gospel fraternity.
Her comments came after Brother Sammy recorded a remix version of Yaw Tog’s “Sore” hit song, delivering some gospel lines in it yet many condemned him for recording a secular song while being a gospel artist.
However, Brother Sammy stated that he will gladly add entertainment to his craft because that has been one of the best ways adopted by preachers in winning souls for God. He claims that his style is very different from other gospel artists in Ghana, thus he sees entertainment as the best way to win more souls for God.
