I’m With The NPP To Help Change The Narrative Of My People – Samini
Ghanaian dancehall artiste Samini has disclosed the reason why he publicly gave his support to the sitting party; New Patriotic Party.
It’s no news that dancehall and reggae artiste Samini threw his weight behind the NPP during the 2020 campaigns and elections. Samini was seen countless times on podiums campaigning for the Akufo Addo government.

In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, an award-winning artist he is ever ready to do anything in his power that his brand and hard earn name will not be dragged in the mud. He disclosed that he joined the NPP to help change the perception his people had.
Samini also slammed loud-mouth UK-based media personality, Kelvin Taylor for saying demeaning things about him in his recent videos. Recall that Kelvin Taylor blasted Sarkodie and Samini a few weeks ago and called them hypocrites who have refused to criticize the government for their selfish interests.
According to Samini, Kelvin Taylor made false allegations about his background and his inability to support his people. He stated that he will not allow Kelvin to drag his name in the mud. “he said that I should think about my people in Wa who do not have food to eat and portable water to drink”.

“..If you want me to think about those people, how am I going to get to do anything if I don’t step up to the table and be part of those who change the narrative? If I have the ambition to be a politician to be able to represent one of the poorest parts of the country and you’re saying I should think about them; are you not contradicting yourself?” he asked.
