Jordi Osei-Tutu out injured for several weeks

Jordi Osei-Tutu’s injury woes have continued into his new loan spell at Nottingham Forest, as he was forced off with another suspected hamstring injury.

Jordi Osei-Tutu only lasted 17 minutes of Nottingham Forest’s game against Blackburn Rovers on Wednesday night, with reports suggesting that he’s suffered another suspected hamstring injury.

Speaking about the current state of his Forest side, the 62-year-old manager said: “All of those who were not available are still not available – the two Joes, Worrall and Lolley, Loic Mbe Soh, Nuno Da Costa and Jordi Osei-Tutu.”

Hughton then touched upon the Arsenal loanee’s injury, revealing: “Jordi will be out for several weeks, that we do know. It’s a big blow for us. But our thoughts at the moment are about doing everything we can for him, getting him back in the best shape that we can.”

Osei-Tutu suffered three hamstring injuries last season with Cardiff City, before an ankle ligament injury ended his season.

At the time, the hope was that the right-back had simply returned too early with each of his hamstring injuries. Given each one followed immediately after the last, it seemed possible it was all just one long injury that he hadn’t quite recovered from each time.

But five months after recovering from his last hamstring problem, and after completing multiple games for the Arsenal u23s in pre-season, Osei-Tutu only just lasted over 100 minutes on loan before seemingly picking up a new hamstring concern.
