Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC are due to cut loose some dead wood from their squad as they plan for the 2021/2022 season after a disappointing 2020/2021 season.
The mauve and yellows have appointed a new coach and some players will be casualties of the new regime.
Some six players will be shown the exit after a lackluster performance from last season with the likes of Abdul Jabila Karim, Daniel Egyin, Abass Mohammed with popular first team players like Kwesi Donsu, Eric Kwakwa and Bright Enchil all set for the chop.
The club is set to engage the players in the coming weeks in order for them to mutually terminate their contract
Kwesi Donsu is a popular figure within the Medeama drssing room and even among the fans but after several ins and out of the club it appears his time has come at the club following a bit part role last season.
Eric Kwakwa and Abass Mohammed are also players who have played for the Tarkwa based club for a long time after spells outside the club and were integral in the clubs CAF Confederations Cup campaign in the 2015/2016 season under Tom Strand.
The other two first team players Bright Enhchill and Daniel Agyin are surprise names as they were very regular in the just ended season.
Already Frank Boateng and Eric Ofori Antwi have already left the club with Felix Annang and Gideon Ahenkorah tipped to replace them but more will follow through the Medeama exit door soon.
The Tarkwa based side ended the 2020/2021 season empty handed after placing 5th in the league and reaching the semi finals of the MTN FA Cup where they were dumped by Hearts of Oak.
