NDC Group Asks IGP To Arrest Presidential Staffer For Brandishing Gun Publicly
An NDC group has called on the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare to arrest a presidential staffer after this presidential staffer was seen flaunting a gun publicly.
The presidential staffer in trouble is Charles Nii Teiko Tagoe and the call for his arrest comes at a time when Ghanaian musician, Samuel Adu Frimpong who is known as Medikal was arrested for a similar act last week.
After Medikal’s arrest, he was dragged to court where he was denied bail and subsequently remanded for a period of five days.
In the photo that is circulating, Nii Teiko Tagoe was seen aiming his pistol in the sky at an event.
Meanwhile, three individuals have been arrested for faking a kidnapping incident.
The three individuals were identified as Joana Krah (29), Susana Awortwe (27), and Francis Eshun (27).
This was revealed in a recent statement released by the Ghana Police Service on their verified social media handles.
According to the statement released, the three persons allegedly faked a kidnap and demanded a ransom of GH₵ 5,000.00.
It was further released in the statement that Joana was the one who conspired with Susana and Francis. After going into hiding, they called the adopted father of Joana and made their demands known.
The adopted father then reported the case to the police and upon sensing danger, Joana came out from her hideout and confessed.
