The just ended 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards this year saw a clash between two rival musicians; Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale. Shortly after the event, information gathered was that the two musicians; Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, have both been arrest by the Ghana Police for questioning. They were both given bail of GH¢50,000 each and were waiting to be processed to court.
They have already had their first court hearing and would be re-appearing in court anytime soon for their final judgment.
Recently, the organizers of the annual awards event, Charte House, announced the indefinite ban of these two talent artistes from their awards scheme in a press conference. They added that the awards for the Popular Song of the Year and Artistes of the Year categories which were won by Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy respectively have been nullified.
Not too long after these revelations, the leader of the Shatta Movement Empire, Shatta Wale, in a Facebook post has announced he won’t be taking part of the VGMA anymore.
