According to Wendy Shay, they were able to cross 31st December 2021 without any prophet making any doom prophecy about the country and public figures thanks to the IGP and her colleague, Shatta Wale.
In a tweet, Wendy Shay revealed that she was living in fear after a man of God prophecied that she was going to be kidnapped in 2020 but the sacrifice of Shatta Wale has changed the situations in the country.
It would be vividly recalled that Shatta Wale was prophecied to be shot somewhere in October. In view of that, Shatta Wale faked a shooting incident on himself as a strategy to address the influx of doom prophecies in the country. He was arrested, remanded, and later granted bail of GHc100,000.
On the other hand, the Ghana Police Service in a statement vowed to deal drastically with false prophecies and false publications in the country. The statement released indicated that any prophecy or publication which has no evidence backing it will make the publisher or prophet liable to five years imprisonment.
Well, Wendy Shay is of the view that Shatta Wale’s sacrifice and the strict measures of the new Inspector-General of Police, Akuffo Dampare has curbed the situation of false doom prophecies in the country.
She wrote on Twitter; In 2020 A Prophet prophesied that I was going to be kidnapped..the fear and panic alone Oh God For the first time in so many years We have crossed 31st night without any doom prophecy Thanks to the IGP but this sacrifice was made by @shattawalegh I celebrate you King
