“We Will Start Confiscating Laptops In Clubs If We Don’t Here Our Local Songs Being Played”-Ghanaian-UK-based Fan Fumes [Video]
A Ghanaian-UK-based music lover has taken to social media to express his displeasure in how Ghanaians have refused to appreciate their own music, yet have channeled their energy in pushing music from other countries.
According to the man who is yet-to-be-identified, it saddens his heart when he enters a Ghanaian club and hears songs from other countries like Nigeria and South Africa while Ghanaian songs are barely heard of in the clubs.
He stated that he wpuld have traveled to South Africa if he wanted to enjoy their music but he came back to his motherland to enjoy some good local Ghanaian-made music but instead, most clubs have sticked to playing songs from other countries.
He intimated that the likes of Daddy Lumba who have held the Ghanaian music industry for years do not have their sons dominating the scene because Ghanaians prefer to play songs from other country.
He sounded a word of caution that he and his peers will start confiscating laptops in clubs if DJs refuse to play Ghanaian songs in nightclubs.

In other news, Ghanaian dancehall musician and Emperor of the Bhim Nation empire, Livingstone Etse Satekla, well known as Stonebwoy eulogized his Godfather, Samini on stage while they thrill the audience at the #BhimConcert21.
As a reminder, Stonebwoy was brought to the limelight by Samini after he signed him on his High Grade Family record label. For some reason, their partnership came to an end after Stonebwoy exited the label to establish his Burniton Music Group.
Ever since then, the two have been at loggerheads due to some misunderstanding that ensued between them. With both musicians throwing shots to each other’s camp, it was already presumed that on no account will never make peace as far as music is concerned.
