8 Kenyans dead in a car race event against Tanzanians at Ol Donyo Sambu, Namanga Road in Arusha while participating in a high-speed car race competition.
According to the Kenyan news portal, TUKO.co.ke, the victims were heading to the much-anticipated racing event dubbed Arusha Drive 3.0.
According to GlobalPublishers, bypassers and spectators standing at the roadside were injured in the gory accident which happened on Sunday, the 21st of April.
Information we gathered indicates that two cars which are involved in the racing competition collided and somersaulted toward unsuspecting spectators at the scene.
Kajiado Deputy County Commissioner Wambugu confirmed the incident but said details are still scanty.
Social media was shocked with very disturbing images of the somersaulted cars and the Good Samaritans who were trying their possible best to save the lives of the victims.
The collided vehicles tore into pieces which led to the abrupt end of the event. The event has been postponed until further notice.
