Fake Military Man Busted While Trying To Free A Friend From Prison
Emmanuel Dominic, a 24-year-old man has reportedly been arrested by the Niger State Police Command over alleged armed robbery and impersonation of a soldier of the Nigerian Army in Minna, the state capital.

When he tried to secure the release of his friend from police detention, he was apprehended by the police dressed as a soldier connected to TRADOC, Minna. It was later discovered that the military dress he was wearing belonged to his late father, a soldier.
Dominic, who lives in the Tunga neighborhood of town, claimed to be a Nigerian Army Minna barrack lad.
DSP Wasiu Abiodun, the state Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the occurrence, saying the suspect was detained for impersonation by operatives from the Maitunbi Division.
“The suspect dressed in Nigerian Army camouflage went to the Police Division and paraded himself as a soldier of Nigerian Army with service no. 05313 attached to TRADOC, Minna to secure the release of his friend in Police custody”, he said.
Upon interrogation, it was discovered that Emmanuel Dominic was a fake military officer and was subsequently arrested by the police.
One wooden carved gun, two axes, one jackknife, two kit bags, two OG green trousers, one army camouflage vest, shirt, boot, face cap, and trekking stick were among the items discovered from the suspect during the inquiry.
“He is equally suspected to have been robbing victims in Minna and its environs with the wooden carved gun, jackknife, and the ax”, he said.
“The case is under investigation, while the suspect will be arraigned in court for prosecution immediately after the investigation is concluded,” he added.
