Ghanaians React To New 1.75% Tax On All MOMO & Bank Transactions
Ghanaians were shocked to hear about the newly introduced 1.75% tax on all mobile money and bank transactions.
This new tax was made known by the Minister of Finance, Hon. Ken Ofori Atta and has been even captured in the 2022 budget.
What this means is that if you are sending someone GHC 1,000, the government would take GHC 17.50 in addition to the GHC 10 transaction fee that is being charged so you will end up paying GHC 27.50.
