You could recall that Mr Macaroni, a fellow comedian, took to Twitter to sound the alarm that the comedian has gone missing. Mr Macaroni intimated that the last time Cute Abiola’s wife and companions heard from him, was on November 15.
It was claimed that Abiola was held captive in a Nigerian navy cell and no one could ascertain his offence. Mr Macaroni, urged the Nigerian navy to remark on his whereabouts in order to dispel any lingering doubts.
The story has gained a new twist as the Nigerian Navy has revealed that the comedian is in their custody for breaching the Social Media Policy and refusing to obey particular orders.
The navy in a statement issued dispelled the rumours that Abiola was no where to be found.
the statement reads in part.“OSCOMP Abdulgafar is currently under custody in his unit for breaching the Armed Forces Social Media Policy and refusal to obey particular orders. The Nigerian Navy wishes to avail itself this incident to remind its personnel to comply with the provisions of the Armed Forces Social Media Policy in their usage of social media platforms,”
In other news, Nigerian activist, Aisha Yesufu has chastised people who denied that a massacre occurred at the popular Lekki toll gate.
Following the report of the Lagos State Panel of Investigations, Aisha has taken to Twitter to lash out at the big mouths who vehemently denied that there was a massacre at the toll gate.
She wrote: “They said no one was killed and asked us to produce the bodies they took. You see all these people who denied there was massacre at Lekki Toll Gate, come 2025 when their principals are out of office, they will become advocates of good governance and democracy and hold government accountable. The ones who denied #ChibokGirls are today’s advocates.
