In less than a month, the prices of sachet water have seen a 100% increment.
At the start of this month, the price was increased from 20 pesewas to 30 pesewas, however, that could not be sustained as the price has gone up once again.
As we speak, the prices of sachet water have increased to 40 pesewas and this was announced by the National Executive Committee of the National Association of Sachet and Packaged Water Producers (NASAWAP).
This new price is effective today, Monday, December 27, 2021, and it was recommended that the 500 ml iced bottled water be retailed at GHC1.50, and the 750ml or medium size iced bottled water be retailed at GHS2.00.
The statement which was signed by the National President of the Association, Mr. Magnus Nunoo, further said mini-shops will now retail a bag of sachet water at GHC6.
Some reactions from Ghanaians are;

Bra Wale – I remember we were here wen de same sachet price was increased from 10ps to 20ps and 40ps next go be 80ps,mathematically
