Stupidity is When You Specialize In Dancehall to Promote Jamaican Music In Ghana- TicTac Fires Stray Bullet
One of the pioneers of Hiplife, TicTac, now Tic was all emotional on radio as he talks about the state of Ghana music and how Ghanaians have neglected veterans like him the doldrums.
The Ghanaian rapper who happens to be the first rapper to cross the carpet into the Nigerian industry and collaborate with their stars, said a lot of things are going wrong in the industry in Ghana in a conversation with Akwasi Aboagye on Peace FM.
He further said stupidity is when some musicians in Ghana specialize in Dancehall music to promote Jamaican music yet have the effrontery to bemoan the poor state of the industry.
The award-winning rapper known for his monster hit ‘Philomena Kpitinge’ then revealed what keeps the Nigerian music industry thriving despite Ghanaians being the pacesetters in almost every facet of entertainment is the fact they promote their songs widely on all mainstream and social media platforms.
In other news making waves on Ghgossip.com, rapper Trigmatic has asked Artiste Managers like Bulldog to have the willpower in disciplining their artistes when they go wayward or misbehave.
According to Trigmatic, most Artiste Managers are unable to enforce such measures because they fear the artiste will fire them immediately. He made this known when he had a conversation with Graphic Showbiz recently.
An artiste manager, without fear or favour, should be able to face their artiste if they see something wrong with them. For instance, the manager should be able to say no to which kind of girlfriend the artiste goes in for if it will not help business.
Some artistes are very emotional and if they have frequent breakups, it means their music will be affected. Managers of such artistes should be able to tell them their choice of partners will not help them. Again the way an artiste answers questions when he or she is being pushed to the wall on live radio should be a prime concern to the manager.
